Display language of asset

It was hard to distinguish assets in the PWT ACL overview in case you have multiple articles in the same category, with the same title, but for different languages. We are now displaying the language flag when the asset is related to an object (for example an article) that is set to a specific language. This makes it much easier to find the asset you are looking for.

New filters: Start level, End level and Language

Next to displaying the language flags for assets, it would be useful to filter for a specific language as well. So we added a language filter for the assets in the PWT ACL overview. We also added filters to set a specific Start level and/or End level. This allows you to be very specific in what assets you would like to display.

Quickscan Asset Issues detection notice

The PWT ACL Diagnostic tool can easily detect issues with the assets table of your Joomla website. When issues are detected this will be displayed in PWT ACL. When PWT ACL detects issues a notice will now also be visible on the Joomla control panel for Super Users. This was requested by users that specifically have to go to PWT ACL in the backend to check if new issues were detected.

Improved support for updates via Watchful and YourSites

We also implemented a few changes to improve the update support for external Joomla-update services like Watchful and YourSites. You can now configure your Download keys in their dashboard and start updating our extensions. For Watchful we fixed the removal of ACL Manager when updating via Watchful. 

Translations

Some great efforts have been made by our translators as well. The language files for Catalan, Croatian, Dutch, French, German, Japanese, Norwegian, Spanish, Swedish and Thai are all updated for the latest version now. You can follow the translation status or contribute translations yourself on our Translations page.

How to update PWT ACL?

If you have an active subscription you can easily update PWT ACL via the Joomla-updater under Extensions -> Manage -> Update. To use this feature you need to set your "Download ID" in the PWT ACL component options. You can find your personal Download ID on your dashboard. Both the Watchful Download Key as Download ID will work. You can also download PWT ACL and install the package via the Joomla installer. 

If you are using PWT ACL 3.0.0 you need to download and install the update manually due to a bug in this specific version. Download PWT ACL and install the package via the Joomla installer.
