PWT ACL 3.3.0 released - New quick toggle & filter

Monday, 09 December 2019

We are pleased to announce the availability of PWT ACL 3.3.0. In this release, we added a couple of new features (toggle all additional permissions, filter Fieldgroup & Fields), fixed some bugs and made several improvements to the diagnostic tool.

New quick toggle & filter

For the clickable Joomla ACL permission grid to configure Joomla ACL easily, we have added a couple of new features (based on the feedback of our great users, thanks!). On top of the overview, you will now find a new button to quickly toggle all additional permissions of the overview. Just click on the button to expand all permissions for modules for example.

We also received a request to filter out the Fieldgroups & Fields of the relatively new Joomla custom fields functionality, so we have added a filter for that as well which you will find under the Search Tools of the permission grid.

Besides these new features, we further improved the checks in the diagnostic tool of PWT ACL, to make it even more robust and capable of fixing Joomla sites with a complex messed up Joomla assets table.

Another change In PWT ACL was made for the Joomla core update component that no longer allows configuring permissions for the component. Instead, access is only allowed for Super-Users by default. Because of this change, you can no longer configure the permissions for the component in PWT ACL.

Changelog PWT ACL 3.3.0

UPDATE 11 december 2019: PWT ACL 3.3.1

After the release of PWT ACL 3.3.0 we received an issue report for sites without a backend Joomla mod_menu published, resulting in an error. To fix this we have released PWT ACL 3.3.1.
